A Lifelong Passion

Although Half Fast Co. has only operated officially since 2018, its origins date back much further. Founder Steven Hertz, has had a life long obsession for "anything with an engine". Buying, fixing and placing cars with appreciative owners has been a treasured hobby since 10 years old. What started as scouring Bargain Traders for hours has turned into an obsession with Marketplace, Bring a Trailer and backyard, backroad finds. HFC also acts as a broker between seller and potential buyer. Our services guarantee vehicles are offered at a fair price and given the exposure to potential buyers they so justly deserve. 

HALF FAST..A Brief Summary

Our pun savvy namesake derives from not only our never-ending love for air-cooled Volkswagens and their characteristically slow speed; but also the form our namesake takes if read fast off the tongue. Half-Assed indeed. See, around here we aren't too caught up with making sure every vehicle is showroom condition. We believe every classic has a right to be appreciated, kept alive, and on the road. Even if that means you can see the highway through the floorboards while you cruise. To quote the great David Freiburger, "Dont Get It Right, Just Get It Running". From the trailer queen, to unrestored barn find, HFC can find a seat for any butt!
